WHO WE ARE

Niger Delta Snapshots has been running the #SaveNigeriaMangroves Campaign since 2018 following the review of the book MAN AND MANGROVES-AN ENVIRONMENTAL AWAKENING.

Haven shown the beauty, resources and vulnerability of the Nigeria Mangrove Ecosystems and how man impacts the environment, the question arose;

HOW DO WE PERPETUATE THE MANGROVES INTO THE FUTURE?

In other words, HOW DO WE SAVE THE MANGROVES?

The activities of Niger Delta Snapshots since 2018 has consistently sought to answer this question. We save the Mangroves by Restoring degraded areas(RESTORATION), raising awareness (ADVOCACY) and empowering resource dependent communities (EMPOWERMENT).

These specific actions are to be implemented with a heightened sense of urgency as our Mangrove Heritage faces some of the worst environmental threats known in the world.

A few years of inaction and this gift of nature will be irrevocably lost. The founding of SAVE NIGERIA MANGROVES FOUNDATION provides the framework for an effective engagement with stakeholders in addressing the Nigeria Mangrove crisis.

Our ultimate goal is to SAVE THE MANGROVES FOR PEOPLE AND FOR THE PLA NET.
